Who Is This Guy and What Does He Do??
To much of the outside world, I am a fill time entertainer/singer/guitarist who performs in the Tampa Bay. I've just concluded a 4 year run at Woody's Waterfront restaurant in Saint Pete Beach, Florida, and this past summer at the Blue Parrot in St. Pete Beach and the Bamboo Beach Bar and Grill in Madeira Beach. I have recently relocated to the Washington DC subarbs am openly available for booking in the northern VA / Wash DC areas and northeastern PA where I keep a second home - also I will be available limitedly in the Tampa Bay. I bring with me the ability to cultivate nice consistent following to my new venue or venues. When I perform, people often stick around longer than they had planned. I was at Woody's 5 nights per week for 4 years, which demonstrates my abilities to retain a following and keepp the regulars happy over the long haul.
I've been a full time entertainer for most of my adult life (Since St Patricks Day, 1988 to be exact) and have been a mainstay at many venues for many years. My act is comprised of mostly of vocals/guitar/harmonica, using professional, self-created backing tracks of drums/bass/sometimes piano/strings/organs, etc,. I can also play a strictly acoustic gig, whatever fits the venue. I use Bose cylindrical radiators as my main sound system, making it feasible to set up in small areas and keep clutter to a minimum. I use Crown amplifiers and Mackie speakers when setting up in a very large venue.
I perform classic primarily AM radio pop/rock hits, mostly from the 60's, 70's, 80's. and 90's with a few 50's and 2000's when appropriate. I will also throw in a few country songs (Johnny Cash, Toby Keith, Kenny Chesney, Kenny Rogers, Willie Nelson, Brooks and Dunn). Can We Hire Tom For Our Event/Club/Pub/Restaurant?
Oh Yes, you may- just try to book as far in advance as possible, as my schedule gets very full. I am available to play in northern VA/DC, eastern Pennsylvania, and Tampa Bay areas. I perform a three or four hour set, and will provide background music during any breaks. I use high quality sound equipment, such as BOSE, and keep volumes appropriate for the venue. As my friend DannyB says, "I don't know of anyone who leaves because it's not loud enough". The music is not all that matters to my clients - My act is VERY family-friendly. I never use vulgar language or rely on dirty song parodies. A keen and clean SEINFELDIAN sense of humor is included with the performance at no extra cost. My performance is, as is my lifestyle, booze-free, drug-free, and smoke-free. I conduct myself with 100% professionalism- so I'm a safe bet to be the face of your establishment or function.
